How RLVD Works
Continuous Monitoring
Overview cameras continuously monitor traffic lights after they turn red.
Violation Detection
When a vehicle violates the red light rule, the overview camera captures the entire scenario, while the Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) camera captures the license plate image.
License Plate Identification
Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is performed to read the license plate and identify the violator.
Integration with Database
The system integrates with the Vahan database for automatic generation of e-challan.
Alert Generation
Alerts are sent via mail or SMS to the vehicle owners based on photographic/video evidence reviewed at the Command Center.
